Cristin Heyns-Bousliman works with a select group of employers while taking on limited representation of employees.

The focus of her practice is to create and support exceptional workplaces through proactive measures while minimizing the impact of inevitable litigation. Cristin believes that the majority of employment matters stem from employees who feel underappreciated, misunderstood, or unheard – all preventable situations. She has significant experience in litigating employment matters as well as a successful in-house counsel approach to proactive legal and pre-litigation employment matters.

Cristin has expertise in defending EEOC and NLRB charges, navigating Department of Homeland Security Form I-9 audits, setting up effective FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, and OSHA compliance programs, and building Human Resources and Risk Management departments to fit the needs of the business.

Cristin received her BBA from the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management in 2002 and her JD from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2007. She has been honored by Albuquerque Business First as Top 40 Under Forty (2014) and Women of Influence (2015). The Anderson School of Management selected her as a Young Alumni Hall of Fame award recipient in 2017. Cristin serves on the Board of Directors at All Faiths, is a former Albuquerque Bar Association President, and frequently organizes and participates in fundraising initiatives for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History Foundation. She is also a member of the Forbes Human Resources Council and SHRM.
